I am having a problem with the sound in my car.. can't really tell if its coming from the front of my car or if its coming front the CAT...

ive narrowed it down to those two possibilities.. My Question is:

1) Is there a way to check if my timing belt is worn/Broken

2) Is there a way to check if the substrates in my Cat conver. Has broken down?

Of course- I mean without taking it to a mechanic initially. Thanks in advanced, guys

I hadn't really drove my car out of town in a while but when I did I drove about 15miles. Then smoke started to come out of the dash vents up by the winsheild, it fogged me up instantly. I pulled to the side of the road and had to wait for it to clear up and the smoke to stop. I drove another few miles before this happened again. Repeating this a few times untill I got to where I was going.

Then hours later needing to get my car back home, I drove it on the freeway back the 15miles and everything was fine untill my car just died. Again pulling to the side of the road, I now saw smoke coming out from my hood, and opening it saw the engine was overheated. My coolant levels were fine though.

I waited a while then try'd to start the car. I got it safely off the freeway and into a parkinglot, where I then noticed a bunch of green stuff leaking out. My coolant had just drained out.

So now my car is home and I never use it. What happened?

I bought a 2007 Civic Sedan and my automatic windows (front driver side) is off alignment when I try to roll it up. The glass portion seems to pop out slightly and won't close properly. When this happens, the window doesn't fit into the slot. At first I didn't notice until I kept hearing airflow from that area when driving. If I push (force) the window inwards, it will close properly. As you could see, this is very inconvenient!

Maybe there's a rock or some other obstruction where I can't see? Maybe somebody tried to break into the car by pulling the windows?

Does anybody know what's wrong with the windows? How would I fix this? I want to see if I could fix this myself first before doing my last resort option of seeing mechanic.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

i bought a used 99 Volkwagen passat 2 weeks ago and its been sitting in the parking lot since. Last night my friend wanted to take a look inside the car so i opened the door with the alarm/lock device and noticed the door locks wont go up(unlock). I used the key to open the door and noticed the light on the top was dim. usually it would be bright. i tried starting the car and it wont start. i turned on the headlights and they were really dim.

so the signs are

1. locks wont unlock using the lock/alarm device
2. light on top was dim..eventually off
3. cant start the car; turned on headlights and they were really dim
4. i tried locking/unlocking using the door lock switch(in the car) and it didnt work
5. the red flashing light by the driver's door lock stops flashing

This related to my previous question about 1991 Camry overheat problem. After replaced head gasket, torque to spec, the car is still overheat. Timing to spec, super flush twice, both fans wrok. If I turn on the heater, then, temperature will return to normal...but, outside right now is 90+ degree...not very pleasent. Water pump/radiator/thermostat are new. It will overheat when I started driving the car about 10 minutes...if started and let it idle, then, it seems would not. It is a puzzle to me.
