just changing the brake pads isn't enough. your brake rotors should be checked for runout and either machined or replaced based on the thickness and condition. the rest of your brake system should be checked also. Any reputable shop should be able to take care of all of this for around 100.00 and in some cases, lifetime warranty brake pads are used in such services. so even though you might save a few dollars doing it yourself, it pays to let the professionals do it for you.

It may be best to take it to a shop and have them do it. You may need more than just the pads replaced. They will be able to check the runout on the rotors and see if they need turning. Brakes are not a good thing to try if you don't have any experience.

This is not something a person with no experience should try. One mistake and you could be involved in an accident over break failure. Please have a professional do it. Or pay a training school to properly teach you.
