I bought a 2007 Civic Sedan and my automatic windows (front driver side) is off alignment when I try to roll it up. The glass portion seems to pop out slightly and won't close properly. When this happens, the window doesn't fit into the slot. At first I didn't notice until I kept hearing airflow from that area when driving. If I push (force) the window inwards, it will close properly. As you could see, this is very inconvenient!

Maybe there's a rock or some other obstruction where I can't see? Maybe somebody tried to break into the car by pulling the windows?

Does anybody know what's wrong with the windows? How would I fix this? I want to see if I could fix this myself first before doing my last resort option of seeing mechanic.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

on a 2007 Civic you should still be under the manufacturers warranty.
If you must do it yourself, then remove the door panel and watch the movement up and down in the track. You should be able to see where the problem is, and there are two adjustments on the track to correct this issue. If You cannot adjust it far enough then you must replace the track.

You can depending on how good are you mechanically inclined. If you need a demo, try to find the same Civic on a Junk Yard and practice to see how to take it apart without tearing or experimenting on yours. I have done it in the past. Used a wreck car to figure some out. Is free since you are not taking parts or you might come out with some that you like.

But like others stated here.... WARRANTY! It has to be for a 2007 Model, let the dealership mess with it.

Any type of work on the windows requires pulling the panels from inside the door. A bolt or rivet may have come off causing the window to only be raised on one side. Unless you really know what you are doing you could damage it. I assume the car is still under warranty. Bring it in to be fixed.

Power windows run on a track inside the door when your raise and lower the window. You should be able to take the door panel off, be carefull in removing the door panel as there may be holding the door panel to the door pane in addtion to the screws. If these fasteners break you'll have to replace them. Once you get the door panel off you will be able to examine your window, raise it up and roll it down to see where it is catching, you should also be able to if it is off the track get it back on with relitive ease.

i say you break the window!

ok seriously mine is like that too. it is just off it's tracks. you will need to take the door pannel off the inside and well i'm a girl that's all i know. i think you can fix it like that but be careful not to drop the glass and break it then it will be broken and in that case you should have just choses my first piece of advise. don't take it to a mechanic, take it to a glass shop. they do much better work because that is what they specialize in and if they break it they pay for it. good luck! let me know if you break it.

go with the first two above, if not try taking the inside of the door off (you will see the screws round the door) usually about six screws when that's off you will see the metal frames holding the window move your window up/down to see moving parts one of the frames the moving part is sliding up/down will be buckled that's why its not closing you need to straighten or replace this frame

Dirty/corroded relays under the hood in the power distribution box. On the box cover everytihg should be labled as far as what's what. (pwr wndw) or something like that. You may be able to swap them out to get it to work, or buy a new relay.

This vehicle should be under warranty. Take it back to the dealer asap and let them fix it under warranty for free.

This should very well be a warranty item. See the dealer about it. Elec. windows are fussy. Let them do it.

Hey man take it to th dealer and tell them to fix it for you. TEll them that you noticed it right away but that you didn't have time to take it. Also it could be that the door was defective.
