Rubbing Compound vs. Clay Bar vs. Turtle Wax ICE Liquid Clay Bar. I heard WD-40 will take off the clearcoat, and using acetone might mess up the original paint as well. I really don't wanna screw this up. I'm helping out this girl that I kind of like.

Do what all the auto body shops do, just scrap it off and buff out the surface scratches. Just make sure you don't gouge the pain by scraping too deep. put the razor level with the paint and slide it along. talk to any vet auto body painter, they will tell you the same thing.

I got rid of some light overspray with a clay bar. Worked really well. The spray was very light, you could hardly see it, it was roughly the same colour as the car, but you could feel it. Don't drop the bar and always leave it on a clean surface.

Don't use acetone, which will dissolve paint like no tomorrow and best not to use other solvents including gasoline, or WD-40, you don't know what is in that stuff and it is not intended for use on paint. A cutting compound might work OK, maybe even ordinary polish will work.

gasoline. use it very sparingly and very lightly. make sure to not leave it on long or it will eat the clear coat.

good luck.

btw, if you're at all unsure about it, don't do it. the worst way to try to get a chick to notice you is to mess up her car, especially if she's like me and my car is my baby.

i almost knocked out this guy i liked when i was younger because he drew me the cutest smiley face on my car during the winter. at least it would have been cute had it not been on my paint job.

start with a cleaner wax and see if that works first.
