i have a 92 dodge with a cummins and i took excellent care of it. lets put it like this its coming up to 700000 miles but still runs like a champ.

I've owned 10 vehicles and the engines easily went over 200,000 miles using Mobil synthetic oil, but the automatic transmissions all failed before that mileage.

200K shouldn't be a problem. You didin't mention if it was a diesel or not.

A lot of people tend to forget about the transmission service. The fluid should be changed at a shop that uses a power flush that will remove all the fluid in the torque converter also. That way you have completely changed the fluid.

depends on how hard you drive.. if you take it easy all the time you will get more life out of it.. if you drive hard than the life of an engine is shortened .. my last truck was a 87 ranger 2.9L 250,000 miles .. the truck I have now is a 94 ranger 2.3L 200,000 miles I must be lucky I changed my oil about every 5,000 miles some time 10,000
