they said they were starting to paint in 5 days (monday). do you think it will be dried and ready by tuesday?

if they don't have baking equiptment they let the paint sit for 24 hrs. and then they wet sand it and buff it out and reassemble all the parts they took off, figure on 3or4 days after it's painted to get the car back.

Most modern paint shops have a bake cycle in their spray booths which bakes the paint at high temps---takes about 45 minutes to dry...then they take it out, let it cool for a while and finish with assembly if necessary and buffing, cleanup.

If they paint it today you will be able to pick it up tomorrow. they have lamps on the wall that they bake the paint job when they are done spraying.

yes.one day is sufficient time for paint to cure.but,shops sometimes don't reassemble vehicles until the day after getting painted to prevent from gouging soft clearcoat.
