Such as Midas, etc......

Also, is it true that a customer should not have to pay a dime when getting something fixed under warranty? I went to my local Mitsubishi dealership, and they told me I had to pay 120 bucks before. I dont know whether I get that money back or what?

You have to get the car repaired at a dealer or a dealer authorized service center. I doubt Midas would be one of those. I always recommend going to the dealer if you are still under warranty, as they generally know the most. It is possible some things are not covered under warranty even if you are still within the warranty period. What exactly was it that they said you had to pay $120 for?

If its under warranty it must go back to a DEALERSHIP. It doesn't have to be the selling dealer, the warranty should be good at any dealership selling that make/model.

If the vehicle is under warranty, it should not cost you. UNLESS, the item they are fixing is not a factory default or issue. Basically if you break something by stepping on it, it won't be covered.

Also maint is not covered (ie oil changes, brakes, etc).

Bulbs should be covered under the original manufactors warranty.

This is for FACTORY warranties. If you have an aftermarket warranty (extended warranty / service repair contract) then you can take it to any authorized repair facility. But I highly discourage that. Aftermarket shops use aftermarket parts. And if you have a $100 deduct why pay that $100 for AFTERMARKET parts when your deduct is the same if you have the more expensive OEM parts installed?

If it's a warranty item, parts and labor should be covered. I would find out why you are paying for warranty work. Some warranties only cover certain things like parts, but not the labor to replace them. You may want to check your warranty. If you still have questions, call Mitsubishi directly and go as high as you can on the list. Generally, warranty work can only be done by the dealership because they are factory authorized.

Warranty work should be free, but everything is covered by warranty.

Factory warranties must use factory dealership if available but not necessarily the dealer you bought the car from..

most places require you to go to the dealership to keep the warranty valid. if you go somewhere else they can cancel it. you shouldn't have to pay anything as long as you have a full warranty and it includes the part that is broken.

If it is covered under warranty, no you shouldn't have to pay, but you have to go to a dealer for warranty repairs.. If its for maintenance or brakes, etc.. then you pay.
