I accidentaly left the lights on in my car and now the battery is completely dead. I need to start my car, but I can't jump start it. Is there any way to start it without jump starting it? If so, please tell me!

For my husbands birthday I want to paint the inside of his garage. He built it by himself and on the inside used what I think is called masonite. It is really dark brown. The garage needs lightened up and I would like to make it some kind of color theme. He is restoring a 68' Mustang in his garage so I want to make it special. I already bought him a fridge, and tv for it but I want to make it something he can really enjoy. Any ideas from you car guys as what kind of paint I should use on masonite, what color, what kind of theme. I can't afford to paint the floor yet but will someday. He is such a hard worker. He works two jobs and is now in the process of putting on a new roof all by himself. He won't let anyone help and I just feel bad for him. He talks about needing to paint the inside of garage someday so it doesn't seem so dark. I really want to surprise him. Thanks for ideas

My standard transmission 2000 Sunfire will only start if the gas pedal is pushed down. Also it will only run with the gas pedal pushed down. (It dies when the pedal is let up)

Is this a fuel pump problem? Or what else could it be?

Thanks,
Sean

Alright well,i have a lawnmower and it wont fire. The brand is Hydro 16 Agway. The batterie is old but it still works(it just needs to charge for 10 minutes before you can start the machine). When i turn the key,it starts to turn over, but it won't fire.I REALLY need to get this thing working!I went to 2 mechanics but they don't want to look at it.This must be fixed ASAP because I am forced to cut 10 acres of lawn with a push lawnmower.

I use semi-synthetic oil, which is good for about 10000 km (15000 miles?). But the last time, I told them not to change the oil filter. "There's no ned to change it verytime", I said. Now I'm worried about it. Can I have real problems because of it? Should I go and chnage the filter before something wrong happens? Or is it just a detail and you don't really have to change it everytime you cnage the oil? Thanks.

I have a 94 Ranger 4x4, manual locking hubs & rear ABS. After moving forward 50 yards there's a slight thud sound, then the front right brake feels as if it is on.Sometimes I have to put it in reverse to unlock it before it will move. My mechanic has replaced calipers, hoses, pads & rotors twice so I don't think it's the brakes. It also seems to act up more after it has rained. The wheel has locked so tight that tire has skidded without even applying the brakes. I am wondering if a bad wheel cylinder will cause this.

I drive a 90 Ford Tempo that had a history of vapor lock when it gets really hot, like it did today (almost 40 degrees celsius.) The car died while i was driving it, but I was able to start it after a few minutes, and drive a few feet before it died again. It sort of sputtered before it died.

Does that sound like a fuel pump of just vapor lock? Like I said, this vehicle has a history of vapor lock in hot weather.

I have a 1992 toyota corolla that I bought in december. The a/c blows hot air as soon as the engine gets up to normal temperature. Can i buy the charge kit at walmart to make my air cold again? And which one do I buy? As a single mom, I really cannot afford taking my car to a mechanic. Please, any info is appreciated.

I drive a 1998 Ford Eplorex Lt. Edt. with 210.000 miles on it.
Today, as I was driving on a full tank the car stopped at a light. The engine completely shut itself off, and I wasn't able to start it up.

The car is in good shape, but I haven't had an oil change in 10.000 miles.

I was able to get it to start up by using jumper cables, but as I pressed on the gas the engine started trembling violently and short after the car would just die. We had the hood open and you could see the whole engine shaking.

Any idea what's wrong with it? Coolant and oil levels were good, and the car was not over heating at all. Also, I was good on gas.

Could this be a result of not having an oil change, and if so, what would be the direct consequence? Ideas?
