It sounds like you have a sludge build up inside of the engine which has caused the valve seals to dry up and allow oil to pass down the valve stem into the chamber. The small amount of oil is burned off when you start the vehicle up causing the smoke.

I used to work for Toyota and we have seen tons of this.

You have oil getting into the combustion chambers. When the engine is cold, the oil does not heat up enough to burn. When the engine is hot and running, the oil is burning so you don't see smoke.
It could be worn piston rings or a leaking head gasket. Check your oil every day to see if you are losing any.

Sounds like it may need valve seals.

valve seals are leaking in combustion chamber overnight, these leak very slowly.
