It doesn't matter which gas station you use, you can use one or all of them if you want. Chevron is rated the best though. The next time you fill up on gas, look at the number located above the type of gas you are buying. Those numbers let you know the octane you're purchasing, the higher the octane the better for your engine. The higher the octane the better because it raises your horsepower slightly, probably not noticeable though. Just burns better.

Yes. You could switch every day and you would never notice any difference, and neither would your car. Buy gas where it's cheapest. You will not find a legitimate unbiased study anywhere on the planet that will rate one brand of fuel better than another. If there were any particular brand that was better, everyone would already know about it. The fact is, cars run on a very specific fuel that has to meet very exacting standards before it leaves a refinery. Everything you hear on TV or radio or in print or right here on your PC concerning how great Chevron with Techroline or Mobil Super Plus or Texaco with Techron or Shell V Power or BP Ultimate, or any other gasoline with any other additives is pure hype and you will notice absolutely no difference in power, fuel economy, or overall performance no matter what fuel you use. The only difference you will ever notice is if your car requires high-octane fuel to eliminate pinging and you fail to use it, or if you get contaminated fuel, which is a highly-remote possibility at any gas station.

Contrary to almost every other answer, NOT ALL GAS IS THE SAME!
It is true that a single gas truck will hit a majority of gas stations, but there are a few stations that have better gas.
Look for any of the TOP TIER GAS stations. These stations have to prove that the gas has the precise formulation required by several car manufacturers (BMW being one of them), and that the gas in the pump is the same as that tested at the refinery. They literally have to prove the gas every step of the way: refinery, distributor, truck, station tanks, and pumps.
Top Tier Gas is better. I get 5% better fuel economy with Top Tier Gas than with other gas. And I always find it at the same price or lower.
Some of the stations that I know have Top Tier are Shell, Quick Trip, and Kwik Trip.
Check out the website for details.

It is 100% ok to switch between stations! All gas is almost identical...the only difference is some stations such as 76 or Shell add stuff to the gas simply so they can claim that it helps performance. Feel free to get your gasoline anywhere!

yes it's ok to switch gas stations the only difference is the fuel additives that each station put's into the fuel, some put in stp to help keep ur fuel system clean, but all the gas stations are required by law to keep to the gas standards so you should'nt worry about getting gas from different stations the only difference is the additives each station puts into there gas. i hope i answered ur question thoroughly so you will understand that it's ok.

Yes it's fine, all the gas stations get their supply from the same refinery. Some just charge way more because they add a little different chemical to it. It really is all the same though! :)

I switch all the time. I use to buy at Mobil but where I live, the Sunuco stations are so clean, new, well lighted, well maintained, etc that I usually buy there. But now, Citgo is cheaper so I buy there.

It's a honest question. No, it doesn't matter if you change stations. Your car will be fine. Don't worry about it. You're good.
