I currently own an DLX v6 89 camry and am looking for advice to improve my gas mileage "19 city/ 24 highway mpg"
but I'm only getting about 18 on the highway for some reason
Please answer as many of my questions as you can, I appreciate your help
1) How do I know how much air to pump into my tires? (size: P195/60R15)
2) What kind of oil should I use to change my oil and is 5 quarts enough for a v6 engine?
3) What kind of antifreeze/coolant fluid do I use (color)?
4) Engine hesitates sometimes on startup, then dies, making me restart the engine again, could this be the sparkplugs?
5) Any additional advice you can give me?

I have a set of adjustable front and rear H&R sway bars on my bmw. The nuts are set in the holes closest toward the center. Is this the tightest setting?

the key is in the "on" position, but you do not start the engine; the battery sign is lit on the instrument panel...
in this case, how long will it take for the battery to drain if
1. the A/C is on
2. just the fan is on ?

Two months ago I took my truck in to replace my intake manifold, because it was leaking antifreeze. They gave me a 1 yr. warranty. Now I smell a syrup like the first time. could it mean that I need another intake manifold done? Is this a frequent thing with trucks?

I have a 1995 lexus sc400 and decided to drive it one winter, totally ruining the front bumper paint. The car is a very light metallic, sparkly, blue so i'm assuming paint won't be cheap. Any estimates?

95 NISSAN WILL NOT STAY CRANKED BUT WILL START RIGHT BACK UP. ALL THIS STARTED WHEN I TURNED ON MY A/C. THE ONLY WAY TO KEEP IT RUNNING IS TO PUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS AND BREAKS AT THE SAME TIME. ONCE AGAIN I HAVE A 1995 NISSAN 200SX.

I have a 351 4 bolt main hooked up to a 400 turbo tranny. It has a whining noise to it and it has to warm up for about 10 mins. before the truck will move and then slip when you try getting on it. Not sure what it is and was wondering if its worth rebuilding. Any and all answers will be appreciated. Thanks!!!!

I have a 1989 Toyota Camry V6 2.5L.
What type of OBD scanner do I need? Most shops out here say that they use a OBDII scanner and that it won't work on my car?

Do I need a OBDI?

I've had this problem for a while and it's driving me nuts. I will take it to mechanic, but would like to know first if there's something I can do for it. Sometimes it starts, sometimes, doesn't. The thing is, battery is fairly new and I got it tested at AutoZone yesterday, it's fine. If it doesn't start, no noise comes out, but the fan kicks in occasionally. Also, when I give it a jump start, it starts right away. Also, when I got a push start yesterday (it's standard), it kicked in right away. They tried to tell me it was the ignition switch. Doesn't seem like. Maybe cables around the battery? Usually, when I jump start it, it will start on its own next few times. It's like it needs a boost once in a while. The nods on the battery were already changed. Please advise.

here are the things i've done.
- the fuel system works.
- new battery
- put gas in it.
- i got spark

then i removed the belt between the motor and power steering, and it cranked over about 20 times, then it finally started, and ran. Then i turned off motor and put on air filter hose, then i tried to start it again and it didn't start.

When i removed the belt, i noticed that the bunch of wires were stuck under the bottom pulley. Pulled out wires, and checked for any visible broken wires, and taped a few where wire was exposed.
- checked ignition coil with meter. FINE by specs.

check for sparked at spark plug and i didn't have any spark.
could it be the crankshaft sensor? where exactly is it located driver side? passenger side? under or above car?

could it be the PCM? and how could i check that?
ran codes with key and gave me the code 43. Wouldn't i get a code if it was the crank sensor? Also engine controller fuse blew once, but i replaced it still won't start thanks!

Recently my car went through some pretty deep water.I would say about knee deep maybe a little higher. As soon as I went over it, as usual, the car died out. It couldn't start of course and my guess was because all the electrical instruments were wet. Anyways, I went to pick it up this morning, and it started but rather with ugly sounds. I had to hit the gas pedal a bit and a friend saw that white smoke was coming out. Well, I got it back home and it turns on no more smoke either, but the motor or something seems to be make a loud clicking sound. I have no idea what the problem is. The car does move but it doesn't accelerate fast, or it's probably because I tried not too. Before the car was also shaking but that seem to stopped. Any suggestions?

OK I just changed a burnt out rear light on a 2001 Subaru Outback wagon. Now the tail lights and front parking lights stay on even with the car turned off and lights turned off. Whats up with that? I pulled the tail light Fuse to get them from runing the battery down overnight.

I just went to start it and all it did was click. The lights are working, didn't think to try the radio, and all the other things on the control panel seem to be working. Am I missing something? It's a new car. I want to get out of here. Thanks.

I noticed that the transmission had a slight slip in it .So I took it to the dealer for a tranny service .ok they serviced the tranny i mean that they had flushed the fluid . i leave the dealership tranny is shifting fine but it's very hot outside at this time.I notice after i'm a half a mile from my house the transmission is slipping harder . I found out that i have a oil leak at my oil cooler. I think that the fluid is or the transmission is overheating
