I have a 351 4 bolt main hooked up to a 400 turbo tranny. It has a whining noise to it and it has to warm up for about 10 mins. before the truck will move and then slip when you try getting on it. Not sure what it is and was wondering if its worth rebuilding. Any and all answers will be appreciated. Thanks!!!!

Only you can decide this. Find out what your truck is worth. Find out what the rebuild costs. Decide if it is worth it.

its a 400 turbo tranny.. it would be much cheaper ro rebuild than to find one 2nd hand and the same thing happen a week down the road. if you get it rebuilt, then you'll know what your working with and shouldnt have any more problems

sounds like your torque converter is bad you may just want to change the converter and go from there also change the oil and filter or the bands are bad or needs adjusting.
