I was driving and all of a sudden the engine shut down and the battery light came on and all of the other lights came on like the matainence lights. I now cannot get the engine to start up again and the glowplug still says its charing and all of the other lights stay on and i am unable to start it. So it is probably a part that is required to start the truck and needed to run the truck at the same time (maybe the glow plug or spark plug)??
We also tried jump starting the truck and it was still unsuccessful (EVEN with 2 cars) so I do not think it is the battery... by the way its a 2006 ford f-350 super duty v8 diesel if that helps in any way

any suggestions would be really helpful , thx

Have made speaker pods for my pickup and have finished covering the forms with material. I intended to cover the stretched tight material with the fiberglass resin with a paint brush to complete the form. I was going to use a whole can of bondo resin for the two forms. I added the whole tube of hardener and it solidified in under a minute. What did I do wrong for I wanted to brush it on and then leave it dry. Did I add too much hardener. I thought using the whole can the mix would be right. I guess I was wrong. Please help for I have never worked with resin. Thanks in advance.

My air conditioning pump froze up and broke the surpentine belt. I had a mechanic replace the pump and belt. My question is what do I need to do to get it recharged . Also how do I plug the pump 's electrical plug back in. The mechanic said he unplugged it . I would like to save money and recharge it myself . if possible

Will using a different ratio of Water and Antifreeze help deal with cooling problems?

I have a 99 Dodge Dakota that overheats on long drives and hot days with the A/C on. I've had the thermostat, fanclutch, and belts replaced. It has boiled over on me 4 times in the last month, and I have always refilled with water only. I've also back-flushed the system and ran a radiator cleaner through. I'm willing to try anything before completely replacing the radiator.

Does the antifreeze/coolant solution provide better cooling abilities that water? Would using a 50/50 water to antifreeze ratio help control heat better than a 85-water/15-antifreeze ratio? I'll obviously go back to 50/50 before the winter, but I want to use the best solution for the hot summer months.

I know it can't be good for the car, but if you're backing up and you're ready to go forward and you go right from reverse to drive while the car is still backing up (not accelerating until you're in drive of course) what kind of effects will you see? does it hurt it every time, or just in the long run?

Just had my 2001 chrysler town and country in the shop for repair yesterday. While i was driving all of a sudden the steering wheel became very hard to turn and the temperature gage when way up to the red zone. I took it in to my mechanic and he said the water pump was shot and the serpentine belt came off, So he put a new waterpump in, a new thermostate and put the serpentine belt back on.

I pick my van up last night, after hours and noticed that when the van is stopped and idleing, if i turn the steering wheel left or right i can feel a pretty significant vibration in the steering wheel and the wheels shudder. Being it's sunday and the service station is closed, I cant bring it in today to see what the problem is,

So.... if anyone here knows possibley what the problem might be, I'd love to hear your answers.

Thanks

I have a 2006 Audi A3, outfitted with 4 Pirelli low profile tires. I found out too late that I should have rotated the tires every 4,000 miles to avoid "cupping" problems, which causes the tires to ride rough and noisy . According to a tire shop I must replace the set of tires to get rid of the noise and rough handling. Someone told me I could get the tires balanced while on the car to fix the problem but I'm not sure about that. Is there any dependable way to get the tire surface smooth again to eliminate the "cupping" problems?
