The car alarm is on and I can't figure out how to turn it off it has a kill switch so i can't start it. I tried replacing the battery for their isn't too much inside the key chain thing to damage but the light blinks fast on the tranmitter but it doesn't seem to function. replaced the battery and does same thing I had to take the battery cable off to stop the alarm but I can't start the car without this thing what should i do?

The battery is causing curent to flow and that will kill the transmitter if there is any wetness remove the battery carefully dissasemble the rubber button side wipe down with paper towell and get out the blow drier air dry all sides of the circuit board for about 20 minutes. Reassemble replace the battery and try again. Some cars alarms are also hooked to the unlock key Cyl on the drivers door try turning the drs door key lock to silence the alarm. You might have to hold the key turned one second to unlock... AS always year make model and miles engine size and transmission where needed help me know what the heck I'm working on

Take the battery out of the fob. Drop fob into 99% rubbing alcohol. Let it dry out (alcohol will dry up any remaining water left on contacts). Replace battery and give it try.
Otherwise, tow car in.

Just start the car and the alarm will turn off. Buy a new transmitter at the dealership. I'm amazed that people can't figure out the simplest things. Good Grief.
