I agree, the battery should be replaced soon. You dont want to get stranded some where, then you will need a tow and at the mercy of some overpriced shop, etc.

you have the original battery in a 2000 Taurus? you are living on borrowed time. you should change it before it strands you. the average life of a battery is about 36 months. yours has more than paid for itself.

If you are not having any problems with it leave it alone, if you notice that your car starts cranking a little slower, then replace it
