Is there any reason to belive that it is the switch or the whole harness? my fog lamps don't come on with the switch or with the high beams like normal. The headlights have the drivers side brighter than the pass side.

I would like to disable the "Door ajar" alarm/buzzer for my 1998 Ford Explorer four door. The door on the car cannot be repaired but needs to be replaced. In the meantime, I would like to disable the alarm because it is driving me crazy. Any suggestions anyone?

did a timing belt, head gasket,... replaced every gasket and seal aside from the rear man seal about a year and a half ago, to solve an oil leak, just ask ill go into that one later, but back to my question. white smoke out the tail pipe signifies water, from either a head gasket or a cracked block or head, but crompression pressures are within specification just more of a spread than i want to see. what do you think the problem is. #4 , i think i made an error in my initial reading, but it is too late now.
#1 158 psi dry, 168 wet
#2 172 psi , 180
#3 170psi, 170
#4 185, 172
i am curious to hear what you think, i get to pull it apart and find out.

I have an old bumper sticker that I need to take off my car. It's on the car itself, not on the chrome bumper. What type of solvant will effectively remove the sticker without damaging my paint. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

When I sold parts, most ford guys referred to to the Cleveland as a big block. I would win bets when I showed them that Ford Motorsports listed the 351c in the small block family. I also stumbled across a tech article that stated you put Cleveland heads on a Windsor (or vice versa) by plugging some water passages and drilling out others. Where did the big block myth come from?

The car at least turned on when I had the bad battery in it. Now when I have the new battery in the lights, door locks etc. wont even work. The car doesn't even make a sound when I turn the key. I have already checked all fuses in the car. The only thing I can think of is that there could be a theft mechanism in the computer of the car thats preventing me from starting it. Maybe I shorted the battery out when putting the new one in, who knows? If anyone has any experience with this specific problem please help.

Ive been driving a 93 nissan pathfinder that my parents owned for about 2 months untill i bought the pickup. They both have manual transmissions although the clutch in the pickup is completely different, I have to release the clutch very slowly or i stall or sometimes it shakes violently, and its very difficult to drive even for my parents. My uncle who is a mechanic says his nissan pickup is like that also and its normal but it may be able to be adjusted. Ive never heard of adjusting a clutch before can it really be done and is it difficult/expensive?

How can I stop the stupid fuel pump cutting out constantly while I try to fill my car?

I definitely have space in the tank, but I get no dice.
