Service engine code reading for egr valve so i replaced it. Code went away but at minimal throttle the motor cuts out really bad. Almost dies. Disconnected the vaccuum line to the valve and truck runs fine but service engine soon light comes back on. Is the new valve bad or is there something else i should check?

Only the high beam would work on the left headlight, so I replaced both..just in case the other would burn out soon. But now the left headlight is dimmer than the right; on low and high beam. Not sure if this is related, but I do have "LIGHTS" on my instrument panel that is on all the time, but I had this before I had the problem with the headlights - I had a burned out tail/brake light in the rear, I replaced bulb, but the LIGHTS indication stilll appears.

Thanks for help and suggestions.

I have an 02 Dodge ram that has had the power steering unit replaced twice. The truck's power steering again whines when I'm at low rpms turning. There is a lot of pressure in the reservoir. I've checked the fluid and it looks good. Where should I start?

The transmission fluid has never been changed before, and i've heard that it's okay, and i've heard that the transmission can lock up, or stop working afterwards....I'm not sure what to do. A little advice?

I cannot figure out what it can be. the car makes a semi hollow noise coming from the front near the engine. when i first start the car after sitting overnight huge exaust fumes come out. I have stick. the clutch makes more noise as well. and also when the clutch is in the hollow noise is not as bad as when I am on the clutch. I am thinking either the catalytic converter, clutch, or exhaust? any suggests before I bring it in the shop to get looked at?

I am driving a 2000 Honda Civic and I was just wondering if it is possible for individual lights on the dashboard to burn out. (ie do they all have their own indivdual light) I've never seen the inside of a dash, and my gas tank has been on "E" for a long time. I am just wondering if the gas light is burnt out.

I have a 95 accord 2.2liter with 150,000 miles. The car leaked all of it's oil onto the pavement (after parking the vehicle), and I had the car towed to a mechanic that said its sounds like a seal was blown and "let's change the timing belt and water pump" while we are at it. The engine was running and sounded fine before all of this fiasco, and now, with the new parts, the car has barely any power, sounds like the engine is going to throw a rod, and I still have an oil leak, though it's much smaller. I have to place 2 quarts of oil a week so it won't drive dry. Did I get ripped off? Does the timing belt need to be tightened (hence the engine noise and power loss). Mechanic showed me the new timing belt and water pump, so the job was done, but I did receive the car later overheating, a result of no radiator fluid or water whatsoever (my suspicions are that he took out the fluids from my car, and did a bad job on the belt so my car's engine would burn out as he offered to buy,,help!!!!

My car overheated yesterday and when I came home I looked at it. I first checked the fuses. They were all good. Then I started the car and the fan on the passenger side did not come on. I opened the cover to the box that has relays or something (do not know what they are called) in it by the driver side firewall and took the black cap off the one closest to the firewall towards driver side.( It said fan on it) when I pressed on it the fan on drivers side ran. I took the cap off the other black thing that said fan. When I pressed on it I could hear a relay or something clicking by the engine on the passenger side, but the passenger side fan did not start. I then unhooked the connections on both fans and ran jump wires to the passenger side fan to the driver side fan connection and again pressed the relay (or something?) and the passenger side fan does not run when directly wired. Is there anything else I can check.??? Also what fan is the passenger side one, radiator or condenser???

I was changing my brake pads and noticed that one of my cv boots were torn, separated, whatever. It is on the drivers side maybe about a foot or so away from the tire. How long should I be able to drive with this condition?? And also how hard is this to repair, I am able to do simple things like changing brakes and this of that nature. Thanks

Are there any aftermarket kits out there that can be retrofitted to your car's engine? And do they increase performance and add to overal gas mileage?
