If you change your oil every 3000-5000 miles, and your car doesn't leak oil or blow smoke for a while after you start it, then just go with the 19.95 oil change (or whatever the deal is for the 5 quarts or so you'll need + filter). Your mileage is high, but not high for the age of your car. There's no need to spend more money on a synthetic oil, which at almost 10 years old, your car will do just as well with regular oil.

Just go with the specified oil, synthetics would be a wasted expense and of no value to your car now. The high mileage oils are a minor amount better and wouldn't hurt your car. If they have it on sale I would go with it. Good luck

It couldnt hurt. If u can afford synthetic (If you're driving a V8, you can) and you're kids arent gonna starve then put it in. However oil change places tend to want to charge $50 to put synthetic in so I'd say go buy the oil you want & put it in you're self. Changing you're own oil/filter isnt that hard. And you benefit from using better oil than they put in & you save money!

If the car isn't smoking or acting funny, I would put motorcraft oil in it. 10-w30 or 5-w30

Do it for the age as well as the miles

Put in the best. Change every 25,000 miles or one year.
