The car idles real low when started cold. When the engine warms, the idle continually rises. I thought it was the throttle position sensor, because I could lower the idle by lifting up on the accelerator pedal-- It was like it wasnot going all the way down- the rpm would sit around 1200 to 1500- when the pedal lifts it goes to 750. I changed the tps 2 times- no change. I thought idle air control valve was bad, when i changed it the rpms shot up to like 2500 to 3000 and then slowly creep down-- real slow. So I disconnected the idle air control, rpms are normal, but the pedal thing still happens. I have no idea what to do next, have any ideas?

I see a lot of people saying that they think its better to put a higher octane fuel in their car that is meant for low octane. I know that is wrong and see all the anti higher octane people saying that the person is just throwing their money away. What about the effects to the car. Is there any damage to the car by putting in a higher octane than the manual says?

Okay just had my fourth factory radio go on my '05 Chevy Truck. I had already had enough when I got to number three, now it's on! lol

On all four units the lights on the front panel keep burning out. As a bonus the CD eject function is broken on this one as well.

I have suggested to GM and the dealer that they try another model of these POS Bose stereo's but they don't want to hear that.

Including this latest experience this will have cost me:
Over 5 hours of driving
Over 5 hours in the waiting room
More than half a tank of gas
Almost 3 weeks without a stereo

I Spent an hour debating this with GM today. I haven't even seen the dealer yet as I know what their answer is. "We can change it again" which is exactly what they told the GM rep.

Everyones answer is "we'll change it for you". Am I the only one that would consider this a problem? My dad has almost a 10 year old cd player in his dodge and it works fine.

Any suggestions?

Sometimes, when I give it the gas , the entire car starts to vibrate. Is this something wrong with the fuel injectors , or maybe something else?

Should I bring it into a mechanic? If so, I just want an idea of how much it will cost ...

OK, here it is. I own a 1998 Ford Explorer with 95,000 miles. Recently it started bucking and jerking upon acceleration around 45-65 mph. I checked the MAF and cleaned it using the contact cleaner method, that was not it as a lot of people have suggested. I checked all the vacuum hoses wires harnesses etc. What can this problem be?

I recently purchased a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am about a month ago. Upon driving the car yesterday, I noticed several things went wrong. First off, the check oil light and ABS light stays on the instrument panel all the time and both are fine. The turning signals quit working as well as the hazard flashers and the brake lights. The car kept stalling and wouldn't restart. If I let it sit for a while and try it, it fires right up. Then it will start to sputter and finally, the engine will completely die. When it does run, sometimes it's very sluggishly. If anyone could help me with this problem, I'll be forever greatful. Please shed some light on the situation.

I have a 80's 7.5 horsepower sears gamefisher motor. When I pull the cord to start the motor, gas leaks out of the bottom of the bowl type thing under the gas line socket. I think this may be the carburetor, but not sure- could be a more specific name. Could anybody tell me what part I need to order to fix this problem. Please help! Thanks

I have an 2004 Chrysler Sebring Convertible Automatic. It seems my trasmission has been running pretty rough. When I am on the freeway doing 65mph, my rpm is at 2 1/2 almost 3. I know this is not normal. When I am sitting at a light with my foot on the brake, it's idoling at 1 1/2 rpm. I have had the car for three years and it started doing this a few months ago. I recently had the computer chip reprogramed b/c my car would jerk when it down shifted into 1st gear. I always get it serviced. I just got the transmission fluid flushed. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem?? I am afraid to take it somewhere and get riped off!

I have a 1993 nissan maxima with two front tires (the front tires) the back tires are in good condition less then 30,000 miles on them. I was wondering if it was ok to buy 2 brand new tires and put them on the front or if i should put the ones from the back on the front and put new ones on the back or if i shouldnt do it at all, i dont really have the money to put 4 new ones on.

I've heard that if you put nitrogen in your tires, the nitrogen doesn't leak through the rubber and it helps your fuel economy.

I got a flat tire. While changing it, one of the bolts came completely off. Now, I can get the three on, but the fourth, the whole bolt just fell off.

I do not live close to my auto center (maybe an hour and a half). Is it safe at all to drive with only three bolts holding on the spare?

I have an 86 Ford F150 4x4 that will hot start. When I turn the key it rolls over, it just won't fire up. I have poored gas into the carborator (single barrel) and it fires up, so I think it is a fuel problem. There isn't any gas leaking so i'm thinking it is a fuel pump or the fuel filter. I was wanting to get a Helms manual to see where the pump and filter are located and doing the work myself. Any sugestions or Ideas.
