I have a 1998 Ford Windstar, and it started stulling a lot. I also have to give it gas when starting it to keep it running. If i leave off the gas it will stull. Once it warms up though it will stay running. Although it still stalls when taking off from a stop sign or red light on occasion. I ran some stuff through my gas twice to rid it of any water in case that was the problem. Also replaced spark plugs and wires. Did a tune up and changed all fluids. None of these helped. What could the problem be? Any help appreciated.

i have a 99 3.8 L firebird, with about 80k miles on it, i have had no problems with it infact it quite pampered, until now, i came out of the gas station hung a left, and within a block i went from 60lbs of oil pressure to 0lbs. big check gages light, engine died. when i got it refired i had very little pressure, but had about 25 when on the gas. The question, is it likly that the oil pump or the cam bearings would go out inside of a block to lose all my pressure. i know the pump isnt cheep to replace, but the engine deffinatly isn't. looking for some feed back, thank you.

I think I have a problem with water in my diesel fuel. I want to drain the fuel filter because there way be water in there. Where is this under the hood?

I have this weird problem where my car sometimes shuts off completely while im at a red light (stopped). The radio stays on but the engine turns off. My idle speed is fine, and I'm almost positive its a fuel supply problem, and someone suggested to me it could be water deposits in the fuel.

I got this stuff called ISO-HEET that you put into your tank before a fill up, it is supposed to break up water and allow it to leave the tank. Anyone used this stuff?

Some people have told me not to use additives in mercedes but I did not see this anywhere in the manual, and it seems like if it does what it says, it would help a lot.

I also got this diesel kleen +cetane boost stuff - anyone used this?

but back to the main question, how do i drain the diesel fuel filter?

thanks

I was parking the car (less then 5mph) and accidentally move the shifter (auto) from D to P, made a short of griding noise, but still drives fine, park works and lever seems to shift gears fine. Should I be worried?

I never had a car with one until recently, so naturally I don't know what they are. People keep oohing and awing at it but all I see is a mazda 626 2.5 liter engine, nothing major.

I have a '83 Datsun (Nissan) 810 Maxima. Something has been draining the battery over night.. I've had the starter and altinator checked. Those are good. Hubby disconnected his amp from the battery. We bought a new battery a few weeks ago, and has been starting up great, but yesterday my hubby started it and it started fine but then last night he tried to start it again to go somewhere and nothing... The dome lights were strong, but all we heard was the starter clicking.. Then this morning, I tried to start it and nothing again.. The battery meter is at an 8. Help please.. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Today, coming to school I tried to turn on my 1990 Lincoln Towncar. And all it did was make a very loud screeching sound and then smoke started coming out of the engine.

Does anyone know what cause this????!!

BTW This car leaks a lot of oil, one of the timing belts was kind of loose. I HOPE ITS NOT WHAT IM THINKING (LACK OF OIL CAUSING THE ENGINGE TO WELD ITSELF)

How much would it cost to fix this?

Im looking to purchase a vehicle, and when ive checked it out seems decent, except my relative who went with me, said that when he lifted up the oil cap to look in the container, it had a bit of a smoke blowback, and he has heard that is a bad sign. But wasnt sure what it means. What does it mean, and why is that a bad sign?

This car is in the process of being restored. It's been sitting in for about 14 years since it last ran, and recently I'm having work done to my garage so to make room in the garage I put the car in neutral and pushed it outside. As it rolled forward I was able to jump in and press the emergency brake on and it stopped. Now that the garage work is complete I'm unable to push the car back in even with the parking brake released and in nuetral. Does anyone out there have any idea what might be causing this and have any tips that I could use?

The ABS light turns on and i found out that my speed sensor was damaged. I drove the car for a couple of months now because I dont have enough money to pay for repairs. The car drives fine but it's just the ABS light is always on. What does a speed sensor do anyway? If it's damaged, what will happen to my car? I will repair it next week but just wondering what will it do to my car if i have a damaged speed sensor cus so far it's ok driving.

Vehicle is 1988 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Brougham. Passenger Power Window is off its regulator. Window goes up @ 45-degree angle (11-o'clock-ish). Need a link if possible for instructions on what I need to do to get into the window's guide track. I can see the hole in the glass which I assume is to be on a guide or rail.
