okay maybe i should of specified the details first, so i aploigize for that.

The car is a 93 subaru legacy wagon 4wd and the last time i drove the car, the car just stop running. I mean not 2min. after where the car was orginally it stopped right in the middle of the road and since then the won't work. I gave the car a jump about twice and everytime i try to hit the inginition the car gives this clicking-thumping noise and won't ignite or turn over. Does anybody now know what could be the problem?

Several times a day, someone asks a very similar question to your's.

It's very helpfull to include a little more information in your question to help us, help you, in your times of trouble.

Some of the simple things to include in your question is:

1) Year of car.
2) Make of the car.
3) Model of your car.
Those three things can help us narrow down known issues with particular vehicles that have certain problems that occur on a regular basis. (ie. recalls and such)

Next, If you could give a more detailed explanation of what is happening when you turn the key to start your car.
1) Nothing happens?
2) You hear a "click", but nothing else?
3) You hear the starter turning, but the engine doesn't turn?
4) The starter turns the engine, but the engine won't start up?
5) The engine turns over, but very slowly.
6) the engine turns, but there's an awful banging noise?

Lastly:
What happened last time you drove it?

1) Drove home fine last night, just won't start today?
2) Was driving fine, and it just died on you?
3) You haven't driven it in a while. It's been parked in storage?

I like to say: "The better the question, the better the answer"

IF ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENS and you have no lights, buzzers, radio or anything else, your battery is stone dead. You possibly left something on ( lights , parklights etc.)
if you do have dash lights and interior lights, but you just dont have any noise when you turn on the ignition to start the car, then possibly your starter or the starter solenoid is bad. Looks like a trip to the garage.

i own a shop and does the engine turn over but not start,if so it may have ignition problems, you need to give the make and model and engine size when asking a question like this its impossible to answer a question like this without that information, good luck i hope this helps.

if the starter doesnt turn it over , check the battery.

If it turns but doesnt start check if you are getting fuel and spark at the cylinder.
