I own a shop, and work on vehicles. If it is doing this when it is pushed to the floor, then it is doing just what it is designed to do. You vehicle is equipped with a rev-limiter that keeps you from over reving the rpm's of the engine, and causing damage. I will also keep the vehicle from going over about 80 miles per. hour wide open throttle.

is that in gear or not. if in gear its not getting enough spark at high rpm witch means out if time. or its not getting enough gas ,fuel pressure to low change filter. if thats out of gear that is the rev limiter witch means to is working fine so it dose not blowup
