i own a shop and they should replace the spark plugs and wires if needed the distributor cap and rotor button also if needed the air filter and fuel filter,and set the timing also if its adjustable,and they should do a really good scan on it to determine if it has any bad sensors on it,usually all of this is included in a good tune up,if not then your not getting a very good tune up at all,good luck i hope this helps.

Depends on the type of car. For the most part "tune-up" is an obsolete term. It referred to making a bunch of adjustments on the car that no longer exist due to modern technology. Virtually all modern cars are automatically "tuned-up" by the on board computer continously.

to me tune ups are TOO MUCH if you have a basic idea of cars you can do that stuff at your house stuffs not hard

it runs better and smoother and they cover oil air pressure in tires antifreeze coolent air filter oil filter depending on where u go there could be more

usually its replace spark plugs, replace air, and fuel filters, check spark plug wires distributor cap and rotor *if it has one*, check fluid levels, check tires, flush radiator.
