I drove from work to home, a journey of less than eight miles after putting 3/4 of a gallon of coolant into the resivoir of my Saturn L300 2002 model. When I got home, the engine was smoking and ALL OF THE COOLANT WAS GONE! Obviously quite a leak, but I am curious: if the leak is right near the resivoir and can be accessed, how much would that cost versus the leak being under the engine and needing to have the engine taken out to fix the problem?

PLEASE HELP!! I am trying to figure out what the hell this repair shop is trying to pull. I was in an accident in a 2000 Civic where I sustained moderate front end damage. Initial estimate was $2900. Now the shop is trying to raise the estimate to $3900, saying the "core board" (cork board?) has to be replaced at an aftermarket cost of $200 for the part and 14 hours of labor. This seems excessive and I have no idea what this part is. Can anyone shed some light on this? What is this part? If it really does need to be replaced, is 14 hours (!) excessive? THANK YOU!!

MY car has been having an issue with starting after sitting a day or two. I took it to Sears and everything checked out fine. My lights will go on and everything but it just makes a clicking noise when I try to start it. Do I just need a tune up?

My automatic transmission for my 1993 chrysler daytona will no longer shift into gear.

I was driving, and everything was normal. I came to a stop light, stopped, and then when I started moving again, the car would not shift out of 1st gear (was going 30km/h at 5 RPM). Stopped the car, put into park, and now it won't shift into any gear.

Park works, and holds the car in place, and when I try to put the car into any gear, the transmission moves out of park, and the car will roll. Car will not go into reverse either.

When I got the car towed, there was a puddle of fluid under the car (reddish black almost).

Engine is running fine, car starts without a problem.

My main question is, could this be an easy and cheap fix (if so, what do you think the problem is), or does this sound like I will require a new transmission?

Thanks for your help.

Can frigid weather cause the steering wheel of a car to vibrate a little more than usual?

Also, is it normal for the steering wheel of a compact car to lightly vibrate during driving? I have a little corolla and the steering wheel seems to be vibrating a bit, but it isn't too noticeable. Hoping it's not something that needs repair!!

One of them is stuck and I think the motor is constantly trying to close it which is draining my battery. I want to just disconnect the motor & leave the lights up permanently.

I can do 180's, reverse 180's and 360's in an automatic..
i drive a Toyota Camry.

when i do 360s on my Camry..i take allot of speed then spin the steering wheel really fast to the right then really fast to the left..until the back wheels kick out and loses traction..then when the car spins half way i use the E- brake to do the full 360..and keep going..

i did it a few times on the highway..with cars driving by..and i kept going..it was funny..my girlfriend kept screaming like crazy..but now she knows i have good control..now i do 360s while im still on the same lane..and keep going in traffic..and she has fun when i do it..she trusts me..

you should try it..

my question is that is there another way to do a 360?

if anyone can help me id really appreciate it
thanks

ok I had a flat tire a few days ago. I put on my spare and the next take I checked all my tire pressures. All the others were about 35psi while the spare was 21.5 psi. I think it may have been that low when I put it on and I just didnt notice.

However I pumped it up with air to about 38psi (44 is max for the tire) yesterday. Today I checked it it is 36.5 psi - is it normal to drop this much, or is there a small leak?

hi there, im looking for a body kit for my boyfriends car (for his birthday) I was wondering what would be the best kit to buy, I dont want one too low as it is already lowered, also im going in for my test soon and i would feel more comfortable if i did'nt have to dodge every bump in the road. I know because its lowered it will be low anyway, but i was just wondering If anyone could suggest a kit that's not too low.

He currently only has the rear bodykit bumper because the rest of it got stolen and he was looking for the rest of the parts on ebay.
one last question...does the kit need to match? He was looking for parts on ebay that were different to the rear bumper, does that matter? am I better just buying the whole kit?

Thanks
