Well there is a couple of saying about the "smoke" inside wires, 1 don't let the smoke out basically meaning if it smokes you got a lot of problems, 2 when you see smoke you have found part of the problem. best bet would be if you see smoke disconnect the battery and remember when the smoke came from. fix whats wrong and repair the wiring.

Oh how I wish I could put a puzzled smiley on here :0

OK if for some reason you are actually serious, the smoke comes from the overheated wire burning the plastic insulation..This is a "FIRE BAD" situation

But Red Green would say:
That's why I always have some Duct tape around to recover the overload warning in the van....Works great

If your wiring is smoking there is definitely a problem. Something is shorting out somewhere. Two good rules to follow are:: If you have had a fender bender recently, it is probably in that area. If you have had or done electrical work recently ( stereo, radio, etc ) it is probably in that area. The smoke means that it is a direct short ( not through a fuse or the fuse would blow ) and could cause the car to catch fire.

There is no "smoke" in the wiring. Smoke is caused by the wire(s) overheating and burning the insulation. It is definitely a sign that something is wrong.

If you are being serious then the answer is no, smoke is not installed into the wiring. Been in the trade for 23 yrs and never heard such nonsense.
