To go along with my other question, we found when we took off the oil pan that there are metal shavings. Aslo the rods have freeplay in them. Do you think it would be good to put oversize bearings now. #6 cylinder had slight knocking.

my gears are stuck, i checked my clutch fluid reservoir and it is empty, could this be the problem?? if so what kind does a '00 eclipse take dot 3 or dot 4? most importantly do you think this could be why the gears are stuck???

If it is possible to have a bad electric fuel pump and the vehicle still does run--what are some signs/symptoms that your fuel pump may be bad or is going bad.Thanks

--if it matters its for a 1987 GMC pickup with a 350 tbi.

how do you body drop a 88-98 chevy silverado ext.cab shortbed?
i have looked at the truck and without chopping up the fram and without cutting the cab floors it looks impossible... any help will be appreciated greatly.

ok. here's the problem. my car was in park. somehow the car jumped out of park and started rolling down the hill. the car said that it was still in park. and also when you try to go in reverse sometimes it wont go into reverse it will go into neutral and you have to put it into reverse again to back up. answers would be helpful. thanks

Since the fuel filter is apparently in the fuel tank, I got the impression that it is only replacable if you replace the whole pump. Are they still using the cylindrical filter or is it just built in? I bought a chevy because i thought they were trustworthy but if i have to pay $400 dollars just to replace a clogged fuel filter i am going to be irate.

'92 buick regal gran sport auto transmission 3.6l engine what could be the problem, i have been told it could be vacuum hoses i would thing the fluid is leaking somewhere but that dont explain the gas milage, i dont have a lot of money and can replace any thing that i know needs it. suggestions please

when i push the pedal down, it goes to the floor. no fluid comes out of the bleeder ports at the wheels. I don't know what is wrong. Could it be the power booster or what. Need help asap. thanks

My mom was driving her car when all of a sudden she stared hearing this grinding noise. A few minutes later the front right tire just locked up and the car wouldn't roll. We called a tow truck and the tow truck driver looked at the car and told us that it looked like the ball joint had gone out. We took it to a shop and told them to replace the ball joint, but while working on it the mechanic called us and told us that he thinks the transmission is going out or already went out. He said he can't tell until he replaces the ball joint/control arm (they're connected on our car), but that will cost $500. We don't want to spend $500 on the control arm then find out it was actually the transmission the whole time. Can any mechanics give me some helpful advice?

The instructions tell me to connect the negative clamp to the chassis but I do not get good readings or adequate results that way? What is the danger of connecting directly to battery posts?

I have a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire GT, 5 speed standard with the 2.4 engine. While travelling along the carriageway my car dropped RPM slightly, and then began running rough. The check engine light was flashing and when I pulled over I noticed the car ran even worse while stopped and idle. While at idle the check engine light is no longer flashing, but still on. I hooked up my OBD2 and the error code came up "cylinder 1 misfire." I changed my spark plugs and wire plugs but this has failed to resolve the issue. I am unsure as to this being a fuel issue or a sensor issue. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you kindly!

I do not believe there is any valve for me to hook to so i can check it(i could be wrong).How do i check the pressure and what is the pressure suppose to be at??My check engine light comes on and the code reads a lean condition.The O2 sensor has just been replaced twice ,so that isnt the problem.Thanks.

I got about 10 inches of hose that connects the transmission lines to the radiator.

I'm wondering if fuel inj hose would be strong enough and handle the heat for those hoses, or do I have to buy the transmission hose.

only when running above 45mph. Motor is at 60K miles, powerful, good condition except this noise recently.
