when i push the pedal down, it goes to the floor. no fluid comes out of the bleeder ports at the wheels. I don't know what is wrong. Could it be the power booster or what. Need help asap. thanks

you should bleed the brakes. to see if your booster is working hold ur foot on the brake pedal and start the vehicle, if it goes down it is working. when doing any brake maintenance you should always be sure to bleed the brakes and follow the proper bleeding order of the vehicle ( that should be in your owners manual).

First see if you can get someone to pump and hold the brake pedal.Next top off the master cylinder. Close the lid on the master, have the person in the car start pumping the brake pedal up and down about 10 times. Tell them to hold it down to the floor, when they verify that they are holding crack the brake the fitting on the brake hose caliper side and see if any fluid coming out. Watch out contents under pressure (you friends foot) will spray all over.If there is sufficent fluid coming out then proceed to bleed the entire system starting with the wheel furtherest from the master(right side passenger rear wheel) all the time keep checking the master for fluid.

Make sure the brake fluid resorvoir is full. Pump the pedal until there is pressure. Then open the bleeder on the driver side front wheel cylinder while holding the pedal down yet. When the pressure is gone, tighten up the bleeder valve and pump it up again till pressure is acquired. This may take several times for each wheel. Do the right front next, then left rear then the right rear, constantly checking the fluid in the resorvoir.

first try to bleed the lines out, best with two people. if just you, open the bleeder valve one at a time for awhile until gravity allows fluid to flow through. if you have help have someone pump the brakes 4 or 5 times and hold the pedal while opening the bleeder valve to release the air, repeat this until all the air is out of the lines. if this doesn't fix it, you might need a new booster.

Did you pre-bleed the master cylinder?
If not, you will need to.

Then you can move on to the brake cylinders and brake lines.

You will need to bleed the rear brakes too.

Go buy a BIG bottle of brake fluid, and don't let the Master Cyl. run empty or you will have to start all over.

have you checked your rear wheel cylinders? is the car been bled properly aswell that would cause the brakes to go to the floor, also are you using the correct grade brake fluid?

do no longer tension it that way, they are in a position to get warm and seize hearth...the 1st element to interchange is the rubber flex lines to the wheels and do not forget approximately the only in lower back to the axle....they get old, tricky and brittle, then grow to be one way valves.
