2003 cavalier, transmission out put seal, left/front

First, jack up the front of the car and remove the wheel. Then, remove the axle nut on the hub. Next, remove the lower ball joint nut and tie rod end nut, separate the joints and pull the hub/strut assembly away and off the axle shaft. Put an oil pun under the trans where the seal is and pop the axle out of the trans. It takes some effort but should snap out. You will loose some fluid. Then carefully pry out the old seal and gently and squarely tap the new seal in. Assemble in reverse order and torque the nuts. Check and top off the fluid. DO NOT TAKE THE SPRING APART, it will hurt or kill you. For added safety, rent and install spring compressor tools to hold the spring.
