I noticed today that my dashboard lights were dead - along with tail lights, since they're on the same fuse. But when I went to replace it to drive home this evening, both my replacement fuses shorted out when I stuck them in. So I just drove 20 miles home riding the brakes. All my dashboard lights are dead - even the ones for changing gears, and those aren't connected to that fuse.

I had a friend replace my stereo yesterday - they might have shorted out then, I'm not sure - I know the gear lights at least were on this morning. But now I have no dashboard lights.

Any clue as to what's wrong, and how much it might cost to fix? Thanks.

'89 Honda Accord LXI brake lines, pads, shoes, rotors, have been replaced. Also new fluid was replaced when bled. Brakes get really hot in the front only. And sometimes there is even a little smoke.

I changed Themomostat but still do not have heat.Seem to be loosing coolant- I checked the oil it is red/brown and at times seems to be leaking from the cat. At initial start up there is a little white/gray smoke. The guage comes close to overheating but stays just below the red line, fan works and water pump are fine. Both hoses in and out of heater core are hot. Has not lost power but will become jump at idle or will stall in neutral.

how long should the Serpentine Belt last in a car?? I have a Chrysler LHS 94 and i was told it is time to change it? should i ASAP or are they just getting $$$ from a female.. it is cracked on the inside i have seen it

the car lacks power and I know its from the old cat and holy muffler but I am worried that if I spend my money on the timing belt and dont need it then its wasted. But if I get the exsaust and my timing belt breaks I am pretty much screwd cause honda is an interferance engine

my blazer keeps blowing a fuse for what im quite sure is the fuel pump . theres times when it works just fine and then quits on me . what would cause a fuse to blow and work fine and then blow again . as soon as i try to put the fuse in it instantly burns it . would an old fuel pump cause a fuse to burn like that.i cant seem to find the short along the wires ,

I need to change the gasket should I worry of the bolts being seized? Is there anything I can do? If I should heat them, should I just run the car for a while or should I use a torch and bring the temp up beyond standard operating temperature?

Okay i just got a thunderbird lx from my mom cause she got a new car and ive been cleaning it up, so tomorrow im gonna clean off the headlight covers well atleast try

or what else could it be...it is a 1996 intrepid....i was driving it and went over a bump and it sounded like something broke and started dragging on the ground then the sound stopped....i got out and looked and the car looked low in the rear...i drove it home but then i heard a pop and got out my brand new studded winter tire had blown....spare was put on and i got home....now the car sits...my hubby hasn't had a chance to look at it but said that if the shocks went then the tire may have rubbed against something underneath and a stud may have been pulled out and that is what popped.....what do you think....would one shock done make the car go lower in the back...or just both....and how much to fix do you think?

I bought a new Dodge pickup, it had 27 miles when I bought it, now its having a problem shifting. I dont know if its something major just yet but if it is Im not happy with having a new truck and having to have a bunch of things replaced on it. I bought it here in TN, has anybody had a similar experience. If it turns out to be something minor no big deal but I am not wanting to have a new transmission put in a new truck... I know it would be covered under warranty but thats not the point

i have a 97 z24 cavalier on monday i put gas in a Casey's not even a block from my house. on wed night my bf and i went to hyvee to get some food on the way back when i shifted in to 2nd and let the clutch out it stalled...and did it all the way home in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear. 3rd is the highest gear i got to with speed limits. on friday 4 days after i filled gas it wouldn't start. the fuel had water in it and it has been -20 degrees around here so the fuel froze. today i finally got it running since it's 25 degrees. it runs like complete sh*t. anyway...what can i do? i wrote an email to the company, but i don't feel like it was enough. is there anything else i can do to get my problem out to the company??? and have them fix the fact that their tanks that hold their gas has water in it??

I have a blown head gasket that is only blown to the radiator, when you start it, the water sqirts out the top

no water in the oil, just a little water coming out the tailpipe, not enough to cause smoke.

How do I figure out which side of the engine has the blown head gasket, I don't want to have to do both sides.

Do I have to pull out the spark plugs?

My belt was just replaced and it still has a slight "squeal" to it! I've heard that you can lubricate the belts slightly! What would be the best formula or lubricant to use? Oil, power steering fluid,????????

i had driven it a few times today (so the gas line wasn't frozen), and i didn't run out of gas. It just died when I was driving it...no stutter or anything, just, bam! done.

It turns over when i turn the ignition, but doesn't fire up. any ideas what could be wrong? i just need to know where to start.
