I'm pretty sure I have a blown headgasket, but there is so little room to work on this engine.

Can the head gasket be changed without pulling the engine out of the car.

1990 Honda Civic automatic(about 86,000 miles): unable to pull the key out of ignition at first try after shifting into park and turning engine off; and, also unable to shift out of park some times. (At same time these two problems arose, the steering wheel stopped clicking into lock position when engine was shut off.)

It had backfired from the time that I bought it. The bogging down thing has gotten worse. I know that I need a new gas tank cause I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter and it got better for a little while. New plugs and rotor. Guess I should of bought a new dist cap also but I was just hoping that the rotor was the problem.

I have lost my key for this car. I know that I can have the car towed to the nearest dealer( 30 miles away) and have a key made & programmed for the car if the code was stored when the car was manufactured. That process would cost more than $100. This car is used as a newspaper route car. I don't really care about the sescurity system--I don't need it. My fondest hope is that the security system can be disabled. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.

Got this car used, swapped motor with current 45,000 mls. I think the guy who put motor in didn't adjust distributor correctly. there's alot of ticking comming from under valve cover, and I'm thinking with a low mileage motor it shouldn't be ticking nearly that bad, I'm wondering where the normal setting on the distributor adjustment slot would be set at when you loosen the nut and slide it back and forth etc. It's all the way to one side as of now, but seems to have a hard, slow engine start. could this be the problem...and if so then where should the nut located on the distributor slot normaly be set on this motor...

We just bought the vehicle used from a private seller, and now cannot get ahold of him to ask questions about this problem.

We cannot under any combination of button pushing, lever pulling and shifting get the 4WD to engage. The 4WD indicator light is not going on, either. So, we are assuming it's busted somehow.

I've read several other answers on other models that there might be a vaccuum hose or a fuse or some sort of switch that's broken or malfunctioning.

My question is, can you give me a worst case scenario about the most troublesome thing that could be wrong with the 4WD system, and about how much it would cost to fix it at an average dealer repair?

(We plan on taking it to an Isuzu dealer next week. Also, please don't tell me to just get a new car. That defeats the purpose of the question)

Thanks!!
