i'm a mechanical engineer and approximately 10 years in the past I owned an 89' blazer. Salt water will corrode something steel. this would influence something electric powered. purchase 3 cans of De-Oxit! touch air purifier, a small chrome steel brush, and initiate pulling each electric powered plug, fuse, relay or connector you will come across and a million) brush it if in any respect achievable, in case you cant greater wholesome it, then 2) use a q-tip soaked in the De-Oxit, thenlet those take a seat for 3 minutes with the answer on it, and positioned vaseline (vaseline blocks oxidants and keeps the relationship from failing) on the connectors and re-assemble them. Distributor: First, use a scotch brite pad and sparkling each and all of the steel contacts interior and out, the spark plug twine connections too, then i'd use a mild volume of de-Oxit on the interior the distributor, cap and rotor then wipe it off after 5 minutes. Spark plug wires: Spray WD-40 on a rag till its doused, then wipe the exterior down on each physique with it, getting it sparkling. look for hairline cracks in the twine, in case you come across one, this would reason the engine to no longer run wisely and that i'd replace any wires that do. sturdy success! P.S. stress wash the backside of the automobile and each and all of the nooks and crannies to get the salt out of there, it is going to devour your physique and physique too! Then Spray it with Amsoil steel Protectant spray, it acts like a oily wax undercoating that impedes rust from construction.
