i got a new clutch in may of '06. so i think the clutch should be good. it has been attcking act up for some time now,(not going into gears easily, i had to force it to shift), and now it is stuck, when the power is off i can switch gears, but when i turn the car on i can not go into any gears. (it is a Mitsubishi Eclipse) im taking it some where on Monday, i just would like some advice before i go.

Have you checked the transmission fluid lately. Mitsubishi's take special fluid also.

It sounds like the clutch master cylinder is at fault. Under your hood, on the driver's side closest to the back firewall is a small plastic reservoir with a black rubber cap. Open it and check that it is full of fluid. If it is empty, fill it with dot3 brake fluid. Pump the clutch pedal a few times and this should buy you enough time to drive it to a garage to have either the master cylinder or slave cylinder replaced. Depending on how bad the leak is, a refill should last about 2 or 3 days.

Your linkage is all messed up , probably when they put in clutch they didnt didnt tighten something up good and its worked loose the more you force it the worse it got right?

you may have a bad clutch did you get a rebuilt did you change pressure plate and throw out bearing

sounds like the throwout bearing, or the slave cylinder for the clutch is gone out.
