very little or no antifreeze in the sytem works a lot better. After the process is done, you can add antifreeze back to normal amount.

best way is remove thermostat, fill system up with water.remove top hose of radiator, pour the glass in that hose going directly into water neck on the intake then put the hose back on. have a booster pack or cables ready because engine with head gaskets leaking or blown isnt easy to start when system full of water. unhook cooling fan so car will warm up quicker.

start the motor. If possible give the car some aggrresive revs or drive a few miles if your leak isnt that bad yet and you can do so without the car getting extremely hot that fast. this helps the liquis glass get ciruclate around the motor better ..Basically you want it hot enough for the liquid glass to work but not hot enough to toast your engine. Sodium silicate actually starts boiling at 102 degress but any leftover antifreeze in the sytem counteracts that .
let the car idle 20 minutes or so if possible. You'll know when its run long enough because once the liquid glass starts settling into the crack or craks, all that white smoke from the tailpipe will start to dissappear. dont let it stay in the Hot range too long or you'll be damaging a lot more than your cooling system
shut the motor off and let it sit for a day or so.
start it up. if it worked itll take alittle while to get to normal temp because you dont have the thermostat in. if temp holds well, your good to go. change the oil, fresh set of plugs never hurts, drain all water from overflow tank and from the radiator so you can flush any excess sealer out and so you can add antifreeze back to the system.
replace the thermostat, and your off cruisin again. i tried it on a 300hp mustang 3 yrs a go and the car still runs strong
. Make sure you use the right kind of liquid glass. products out Sodium Silicate that you get at a drug store.(comes in a plain mason jar that use for sealing sidewalks, and a little note in the lable for engines) it Humco brand from HouseHold Farms.

Its not recommended on newer cars with plastic intakes or motors with aluminum blocks, and especially not a deisel
Also if you have a Gm car with a 3.4 or 4.3 v6, 8 out of ten times, its a faulty intake manifold gasket problem, not a head gasket problem.

Also if you have a car that has as shut off valve to heater core, then shut it off before doing this process. The excess flakes off and flows through the system and it tends to clog heater cores up if you dont flush the system well afterwards.
it may last a week, or a month or 5 years, but it works great if done right. , and will give you time to start saving for that $600 head job or looking for another motor or new car.
And if someone tells you it'll just destroy your motor, they have no clue or used it improperly. All modern engines run Antifreeze that has a certain level of silicate in it.

. I've seen liquid glass work better than a dealership head job so the stuff Does Work!! if you do it right.

Good luck

The safest and cheapest way to repair a leaking head gasket is to remove both heads and replace both head gaskets with new ones at the same time. Adding sealants to a cooling system may reduce the effectiveness of the antifreeze. Sooner or later, you can expect the leak to re-appear any time you use a temporary fix.

if you are set on using liquid glass just put it in with water run the engine once it sets drain and add new antifreeze this may get you by but it isnt going to fix your problem changing the gaskets will
