I have lost my key for this car. I know that I can have the car towed to the nearest dealer( 30 miles away) and have a key made & programmed for the car if the code was stored when the car was manufactured. That process would cost more than $100. This car is used as a newspaper route car. I don't really care about the sescurity system--I don't need it. My fondest hope is that the security system can be disabled. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.

In addition to locksmith, also give the dealership a call. Car locks are not unique to each car. The car manufacturers only use a set number of key combinations. Write the VIN number down from your dash, and call the dealership to see if the key is in stock. They may require proof of ownership or identity.
