Okay i just got a thunderbird lx from my mom cause she got a new car and ive been cleaning it up, so tomorrow im gonna clean off the headlight covers well atleast try
so how would i clean the yellow stuff off of the headlight covers to where they are clear and i dont want to scratch it

i own a repair shop,and if you,ll go to wal- mart and get some mild rubbing compound ,the kind you use on paint if will remove that old yellowish look from the out side of them,some of it may be on the inside of it,you,ll have to rub it pretty hard,and then you can wax them out like you do painted surfaces ,and they will shine like new again,good luck i hope this help,s.

Your options are to
1: Buy new covers
2: IF you can disassemble them without breaking them, separate the outer cover, and apply a polishing agent such as jewelers rougue. You may want to use a dremel with a polishing wheel and polish both sides. Reassemble with clear drying silicone.

Good Luck with the T-Bird. (if you have the 2.3, There are some really good things that can be done with it)
