I moved the mirror to clean behind it, pushed it a little too far and the whole fitting came off in my hand. Im now left with the small circle shaped attachment on the windscreen that the fitting clamps onto but can not seem to re-fit the mirror. It seems to need alot of force to push the fitting back onto the attachment, i dont want to over do it incase i permently break it. Is this a garage job or is there a technique to do it yourself? Any help would be great.

I have a 98 Honda Civic with a crack in the exhaust manifold, which is cast iron. It causes my engine to run louder, and my car smells like exhaust when I'm stuck in traffic. To replace it will be costly. Is there a way I can patch the crack for a fraction of the cost?

I had just got new tires and work done on my transmission on the same day. It only happens when I hit the gas going forward not reversing. I was driving on asphalt which would cause my new tires to make noise. The ticking doesn't happen when my car is just on and idle. Only when I move forward. I can't hear it if I have my windows up. And my husband says if it were a problem under my hood, I would be able to hear the noise windows up or not. Everybody suggests I give my new tires a week to break them in. Please help, the noise is so annoying!

when first started it seems to have less power if I take off with the motor cold. If I let it warm up to operating temp it feels to have more power. Could this be caused by excessive carbon buildup in the engine. It has 222,700 miles.

Also I recently noticed if cold the clutch seems to chatter when take off cold. It also goes away when warm. I replaced clutch 120,000 miles ago it was the second clutch since new.
I drive mostly interstate miles. Not much in town

1997 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L Auto:
First issue: During the cold spell we had in WA the engine would crank but not start. Knowing that the starter was weak figure would start by replacing the starter. After installing the new starter it began to crank over then just stopped. Now when I turn the key over nothing happens no click or anything. Battery is charged (started my s10 right up). Took the starter back to Napa having them test it, it worked fine there. Checked fuses all are in working condition.
Also second Issue (or the original problem): The car was starting just fine this week and then the next morning it was just cranking. In the past year we have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, ign switch, and ign module.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Kevin

It's a 1992 model. I was driving along, and the entire power system just went off. The car turned off and it wouldn't restart. It is not the battery because it cranks over and I've had the computer rebuilt since this happened with no success. There is no ignition - no fire to the plugs - and I can't get a reading off the ECM. Any suggestions?
