You seriously need to get in a parts store and buy one of those magnetic devices that hold a key and put a spare in it and keep it under your car somewhere. Locksmiths are available 24 hrs a day but it will probably cost you $50.00 for them to come out.

The first thing you do is DUMP THE BUM! If he will leave you stranded over a locked car, he isn't worth having.

A locksmith is your best bet, they can get into your car without hurting it. If you can't get a locksmith tonight, and are afraid to leave your car till tomorrow, try calling some tow trucks companys. Many of them have tools to unlock cars.

The you need to have some extra keys made, and donot use a magnetic key holder, these fall off when you hit a bump or railroad track. Hide your key on the back of your license plate with a piece of strong duct tape, keep a spare in your purse, one at your house and one with your parents. If you have a locksmith come out, they may be able to cut keys from their truck.

Try calling your local sheriff. Alot of the time if they are not busy, they will come out and unlock your door for you. Also I would get a few spare keys made up put one in your purse or buy a magnetic key box at any auto parts store that you can put somewhere on the outside of you car so you will never be locked out again.

to begin with, get AAA or CAA or some other applicable auto club. While Police Officers may be capable of opening your car door, many departments do not allow officers to do so unless a human life is in danger or a young child is trapped. This is to prevent you from suing them because an officer accidentally broke something in the process.

Second, I would suggest carrying more than one key... keep one in your wallet or coat pocket, or both, I carry 3 total copies with me. I also have one duct-taped to the frame behind the oil pan, but I have a 4 wheel drive truck.

Buy a new spare key and put it in your pocket so you can unlock the car every time you lock it up.
