What is the best way to to change the lug bolts on the front of a 2000 chevy venture so I can get a new rotor and new brakes on it? Thanks in advance!

I have brake fluid leaking were the brake fluid reservoir connect to the master cylinder. Their is some break fluid in the reservoir but I have no pressure when pushing on the brakes and the car does not want to stop either.

So is their a gasket that needs to be replace or am I screwed with a bigger problem.

When i start my car the oil gauge doesnt pop up immedialty it takes it a while. When i go to check it there is plaent of oil. Is it just the gauuge or is the pressue not hight enough.

when i run it for a while it finally pops up. i dont no wat is wroong

EVERYONE IS TELLING ME THAT THE TAPPING NOISE MUST BE THE LIFTERS, BUT WHEN I ASKED MY MECHANIC HE SAID HE CHECKED THE LIFTERS AND THEY WERE FINE. ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS. 98 LINC NAVIGATOR.

just had a service done by them and they didn't refill the brake fluid!! travelled about 20 miles and then .....no brakes, is shoddy work common for this garage or is it a rarity ?

On my 2002 Dodge Neon my radiator is not cracked but I got in and accident and on the top of the radiator theres these nobs that do nothing but one broke off. There is a little hole were it ripped off because my griil bent in and ripped it off. Can't I just seal it. I bought a new radiator for 250 bucks and I don't think I need it. Please help.

i would love to buy an old classic car say from the 70s or so and be able to make it as if it was just built today, i think its called car restoration or costumization ,, not sure ..

I have a 2007 hyundai accent with a extended warrenty.The car has 2800 miles on it.I want to do the oil change I do all my own mechanic work.will I have any problems with the warrenty if there is a problem with the motor in the future .I am state cetrified and ase certified but dont own a garage.If I keep all recipts and make up a work order will this be ok....

2000 Audi A4 Quattro, Turbo-charged, manual transmission,...

Transmission fluid is full... and relatively new clutch. About 70,000 miles on it. When you turn the car on, it starts fine, but it is really stiff trying to shift into first gear. Getting it to second gear is even harder, and then the car smells strong of burning rubber/burning the clutch.

The problem started yesterday, and there weren't any signs that something like this would happen soon... it sort of "suddenly appeared."

What kind of problem(s) does it sound like my car has? Is there anything simple my husband or I could try to attempt to fix the car (even temporarily)?

I have a 1991 Subaru Legacy LS and the front left brake is frozen, we've replaced the calipers and the brake hose and it still freezes until the bleeder is released. as soon as we push the brakes again, the caliper locks up and won't release. The ABS has been disconnected due to malfunctioning

I normally am the one telling people why their check engine lights are on. But mine comes on intermittently while driving (never while idling). I thought at first it was only when I was in someone's draft, but it also happened when no cars were in front of me.

As for my emmissions system, I tested it and the results were brilliant. I couldn't have asked for better results. Prefect air/fuel mixture, very little Hydro-Carbons, almost no CO, and EGR gases are within specs and great levels.

It first happened when I was riding behind a semi-tractor trailer, kind of close, and I wasn't getting much airflow. I was in his draft. In fact most of the time that it comes on, i'm behind a larger vehicle, such as a chevy 1500 (maybe a 2500) or a semi. The reason I say maybe a 2500 is because I thought maybe it had something to do with deisel exhaust.

Anyway, it's happened twice when I've been alone on the road, once going up a hill to an exit ramp, and once driving around a curve at 65 mph on hwy

I just bought the car used with 80k on it and before I bought it the oil light had come on. The dealer said the oil pressure sensor had gone out and replced it, so I bought the car and the light didnot come on for about a week. But now it is flickering back on. When I turn the heat on I also smell a lot of fumes inside the car.

The battery was not recharging so I had it replaced. Now it starts but the engine is running at an unusually high idle. Could this be related to the ampage of the battery or is this an alternator issue? What are the symptoms to look for if the system is drawing too much?

I drive a '99 Ford Mercury Cougar, automatic, and the transmission everytime I push the gas down even slightly hard then my transmissions gears slip, like it shoves it into gear, but when you go light on it then it seems to shift fine..

What all could make it do this and how much would costs/repairs be on the things that could make it do this?

I'll start of with as much details as I can think of. It is a 91 4cyc automatic Mustang. The problem is this: When I start the car in the morning I get very sluggish performance(It drove 15mph and wouldnt rev above 1500rpm for maybe 5 minutes) Then it will suddenly start these popping sounds which will lurch my car forward and i'll gain some speed with each pop/lurch.
If I start the car and let it warm up for 5-10 minutes the problem doesnt last as long as it usually does, but the pop/lurching still happens
Back in august of '06 my car started developing symptoms (sluggish acceleration, low power driving up hills) but these things happened on and off sometimes with weeks in between. I took it to a transmission place that said "Couldnt find any specific cause, we can rebuild the tranny for 1800 or replace the solenoid for 500" I chose the solenoid and it felt like nothing had changed, same symptoms as before.
And now I have these popping sounds. Any help will be greatly appreciated

I have a 2005 Explorer. I got in August of 06 and has been running great. My next door neighbor needed a jump, so I gave him one. His car is really old and run down. A week or two after giving him the jump my car had been giving me trouble turning on. Yesterday, it wouldn't start just made a clicking sound. Did I ruin my car cause I gave him a jump?

I understand the number plate needs to be shown while driving. Do I need to buy a new set of plates, or can I write the number plate details on the back of an ice cream carton lid? Any ideas? Im in Australia.
