I live in an apartment complex and i know how irritating a car that sounds like this is when you are trying to sleep or even when you are just sitting there. It seems to have gotten worse with the rains and cold weather. It only happens when I start to move, not when the car starts. As i back out of my parking space and turn it gets louder and faster, but then after about driving straight ten feet it stops.

Hoping someone can help me with this one. I just had my car in for electrical service (blown fuse between alternator and starter). Now the radio and interior reading lamps don't work. (Maybe other things as well, but locks, heater, etc. works). Before taking the car back in for service, I would like to check the fuses. According to the manual, the fuses for both radio and interior reading lamps are in the Passenger compartment fuse panel, which is supposedly underneath the instrument panel. However, I can't find this anywhere! Can someone provide me with detailed instructions on how to find the passenger compartment fuse panel and associated lock release lever?

is there a way that i can dry out the air in my truck cab, preferabbly without having to buy a dehumidifier. somehow the cab got moist and mold started circulating all around the cab during the winter (also the non-use time for the truck) i removed the mold, but now i need to get the air dried out so it stops circulating and growing mold. any ideas?

I have a 2000 subaru legacy and the check engine light came on. This has happened before so I took it to the dealer and they told me that the gas cap had come loose, and it wasn’t a big problem. The light came on again, and I don’t want to pay the dealer $100 for diagnostics, when a cheap odb reader costs less. There is one at kragen for 70, but it seems kinda cheep considering that “pro” readers are thousands. What r the differences between these price points? Any suggestions on what kind of a reader to get? Would a usb reader be any better than one that just gives a print out code? Do all readers work, or do I need a reader for imports?

Today, there was some bad weather, and I ended up getting into an accident. I drove over a curb and rammed into a fire hydrant. I don't want to see if its driveable until the weather gets nicer, but I was wondering if any one had any idea about how much it would cost to repare my car. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Also since I am under 18 I only have liability insurance.

I have a 94 honda accord. My car turns over but doesn't start. It's not the battery or alternator. I had the distributor changed and I drove home yesterday. Now my car doesn't start anymore. I checked the oil and that's good. Any tips on what else to check or any tricks on getting the car started?

my other problem is my anti freeze disappears, with no visible leaks. the mechanic says my head gasket could be bad or that my engine block could be cracked. The problem that i had with my car was it cranking, but not starting. The first time, i changed the spark plugs, and that seemed to work. But it only lasted a week and a 1/2. The second time, my engine died, i tried starting it, but it would only crank. same as the first time. If the block is cracked, would the antifreeze mix with the oil? I didnt see any evidence of anything mixed in the oil.

When I had to get an oil change on my new 06 Jetta, a lot of oil change places said did not carry the right filter. When I finally found a place, they charged me $70 and couldn't even reset the oil change warning sign on the dash board.

If you own a 06 Jetta, have you had this problem too? Where do you get your oil change and how much do you pay?

Thanks for your help!

I have a 1999 Ford Expedition...battery won't hold charge, yet new batteries drain and alternator checks out as okay...replaced connections, can't find problem. Could it be the physical wire going from the alt. to the batt.? I've heard these wires are an integral wire to the harness, so not easily replaced and expensive, is this true? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. ;)
