um, need more detail. You recently changed the engine?

The lower pulley is called the harmonic balancer or crank pulley. If it is out of alignment your belts could snap off and cause serious damage. It also balances the crankshaft inside the engine where the pistons are attached to it. If not balanced properly they could be at an angle while traveling inside the block and wear out the cylinders, causing ring blow-by (black smoke out the tailpipe) and if untreated can wear out the cylinders causing misfire, lack of power and eventually a blown engine.

Hi Karen,
It's very strange that a pulley be advised for wobble, all that seems to spring to mind is that most crankshaft drive pulleys are a pulley mounted to a pulley with rubber, the rotation of the pulley at speed can show a wobble as the pulley moves on the rubber, it also acts a damper for engine vibration, power steering/alternator belts are tensioned by a pulley that is spring loaded and moves and keeps a continual tension on belts and this could and can look like a pulley wobble.
Hope this helps
Cheers

The tester was being kind it has nothing to do with the mot but more than likly either the bottom pully is loose or distorted , it would not cost an arm or leg to have it replaced , do not leave it or it may fly of and you would lose the drive to the alternator and also water pump if it is an old car, and maybe even your power steering, Get it fixed

Would need to know the type of car and engine to be more accurate but usually the bottom pulley is atttached to the engine crank which means it could be very serious if it comes off or breaks. Get it fixed as soon as possible.

Well what I was thinking of doing for my own family was like type a paper(like a book) about Islam. It would show the basic beleifs about Islam and why it's the true religion, like why science and other things prove it to be so. It will also teach the importance of things like praying and stuff. Like I told u, for most teens talking about religion is a turn off, so what I'd do is just be like, here I got u this, read it in ur spare time and let me know if u have any questions about it later. Also my masjid has free translations of qurans to give to ppl, so try to give them that as well. Inshallah you'll find success. Salam.

The pulley in question is your crankshaft pulley. VERY BAD if it goes out as that is considered the heart of the engine, sorta speak. As far as if it is expensive or not, not really. Prices do vary on what Make and Model of vehicle it is!!

Bent or Loose Lower Belt Pully....

Need to know Year and Model to guess better for repair.

Most of the time Woble is from something hitting it from the road and is JUST loose and needs tightened... Tech should have confrimed that if he's good at his job... If he checked the tightness and it still wobles???

Needs replaced and check the end of the crank where it mounts....

Don't let it go Loose for long...
