You will have battery charging problems in the future. I do believe it is your altenator. It quits squeeling because it is warmed up but this does not mean it is better. Check your belts and take the altenator off and have it checked. If it is ok then I would say you have a power steering issue of possible air conditioner. At any rate the bearings are going out on something and the altenator is your best place to start. Wife said power steering does it get hard to steer when it is squeeling?

It is most likey the belts slipping on the pulleys. This would coincide with you saying that the belts squeal when it rains and it is cold.
The belts are spinning at a high rate of speed and after not much time they shed the moisture from the air(rain). That is why they stop squealing.
They need to be checked to make sure they are at the correct tension and also for general wear and tear.

Your belt is old/loose. Check the tension on the belt by pressing on the belt. If it moves more than an inch, tighten the belt up. Some cars have you adjust the alternator. Others have tensioners. If your car has a tensioner, your belt is old, get a new one before it busts and makes matters worse!

Alright, first thing one of your belts is loose. You need to identify it (and get the belt number)and tension it. If that does not work try spraying some silicone on the pulley. But it's a sign that you need to replace the belt.

#1 never put anything on your belts. #2 The give away is when you turn its louder and stops when you go straight. Power steering belt, either needs adjusted, replaced or you are low on power steering fluid. 10 points

Sounds like it is probably a worn fanbelt. Apply some belt dressing to it and it should stop. If not adjust belt tension or replace belt.

That sound generally comes from loose belts and once they have been squealing they are probably glazed and will not grip right so they should be replaced before they break and leave you stranded.

a majority of those different solutions are very sturdy opportunities, yet interior the mean time in case you merely want the belt to end squealing, positioned a pair of drops of liquid dish detergent on the belt and interior the pulley ring.
