can I reprogram it if I can't locate the code?

There is a label inside of the trunk lid "usually" on the hinge arm of the trunk *passenger side*. The original code should be there. To change the original code to some other series of numbers, you will have to take the car to a Lincoln dealer and that will cost very close to $100.00.
In addition, the factory service manual that came with the car, when it was new, should have the directions in it to program a temporary code.
Good luck to you!

The keyless entry in this Lincoln just has the keypad on the drivers door sill, no key fob was provided. You will need the original code, this will be on a tag attached to the control unit, or you might contact Ford, supply pertinent information on the car and they may still have this code in their database, but I doubt it. It is possible to program your own code, but you will need the original to do this Have you rummaged through the glovebox and owner's manual? The original owner may have written this code down somewhere in the manual

i doubt theres anything you can do on your own, or else there would be no point of the security on the pad

take it to a lincoln dealer and see what they can do for you...
