It may be a fuse.
You can get a pack of 12 for a few bucks, you can check to see what kind you need by removing the pannel on the side of the dash or under, and there should be a chart showing you what fuses are for what, find the fuse for the signals and just replace it.

In many cars, that is the first sign of battery or alternator trouble. Why your signal lights sometimes slow down when you can still turn over the motor with the starter, I have no idea, but it happens. Check your flasher unit to make sure it isn't just worn out, then start with the contacts on the battery, clean them, then test your voltages with a meter. If contacts, battery, and alternator are fine, look for bad grounds, pull the front and rear bulbs out, clean bulbs and sockets and replace.

The turn sign will give up blinking if a bulb is going out. If the fuse has a zigzag in it, it incredibly is sweet. often whilst they bypass, the metallic melts and the fuse turns black. on an identical time because it incredibly is attainable the flasher isn't working, verify the bulbs via turning on the turn sign and strolling around the applicable factor of the motor vehicle. Repeat for different factor. The bulb that's no longer on is out. If all bulbs are on, then the flasher desires replaced.

That has happened to me before. I just replaced the fuse because it blew out. They are fairly cheap and you can buy them almost anywhere such as: Wal-Mart, gas stations, or automotive repair shops. The fuse box in most cars is located under the glove box, you can use your owners manual if you are still confused.
