My 96 Olds is giving me soooo much trouble. I went to a auto repair to find the problem and he told me that the light switch is out, which is why my interior lights, head/backlights, horn, and pwr seats don't work. But when apply pressure to my brakes, the abs light stays on and then all the pwr wants to work. Even the ding in my car will cut on , but when I take my foot off the brake, everything goes back. Could the brake be the main source of my problem or is it just a result of the light switch that's causing the glitches. By the way no fuses blown, car runs fine, and the auto repair guy said it's not the relay. Any advice? Thanks

The tire was scraped on a steel storm drain and the hole is at the base of the valve. Can I just use a sealant or do I have to buy a new tire?

I have a 2002 Altima and recently had new tires put on and balanced. The steering feels nice on smooth pavement and asphalt roads. When i drive over uneven and cracked up roads with lots of bumps, the steering wheel starts jiggling and i can practically feel the road in the steering wheel. This only occurs on uneven ground. I have 80,000 miles and the shocks/struts have never been replaced. Could that be the problem? The car does not sag but the rear can be a lil bouncy sometimes and over big bumps it will bottom out. If no one thinks this is the problem, what else could affect the steering only on BUMPY and UNEVEN roads? Any suggestions are good ones!

I already replaced the multi-function turn signal device and it still does it. I've had it diagnosed and that's what it said it was. The left signal will not work at all, then you have to turn the hazard on and off to get it to work a few times. Any info would be appreciated.

I had been driving my '91 Corolla for about 30 minutes when both the brake light and battery light came on. A few minutes later the Radio shut off and the clock went dim. The car continued to run for about 5 more minutes until the engine shut down completely and the battery was dead. My first thought was the alternator but why whould the brake light be on?

Please help. I recently purchased a peugeot 205 auto and noticed a smell of petrol after driving. I checked under the car (engine off) and couldn't see any leaks. However when engine is on there's a small petrol leak (1 drop per second) under the car (drivers side, near engine). Is it just a case of changing a leaky pipe or could be be an expensive job?

I have a corroded steel brake pipe on the car, it is only about 50mm at the rear end, the rest of the line to the front of the car is sound. It would therefore be easier, if it is possible, to shorten it, flare the end and use a joining piece to new pipe for the remainder of the length.
Some say it is not possible with steel, only copper. But I have heard that it can be done.
Any useful advice from personal experience would be much appreciated.
(It is an old classic car, the front part of the pipe is inaccessable without major dismantling, hence my preferred approach)
