Hello, I want to change my shocks to KYB GR-2 in my 1997 Maxima. The auto repair shop wanted to charge me 520 dollars. Is that a fair price? Any comments are welcome. Thank you.

Hello! I heard weird noise coming from the right rear everytime I hit the brake. I went to an auto repair shop to check out the problem. He told me that I'm using aftermarket brake pads. He wanted me to change the rear pads to original Nissan one for 120 dollars. He said that may solve the weird noise problem. So is 120 dollars for the rear Nissan pads reasonable? Any comments are welcome. Thank you.

i was driving home then 20 minutes into the drive, the battery light comes on. when this happened, my headlights got brighter, so did my radio light. But as I slowed down, the battery light went away and the head light went back to normal. what does that mean? will i need to replace my battery? what else could be wrong?

I haven't done anything to the car recently, it has only gotten slightly colder(about 30-40F). When I open my gas tank and take off the gas cap I hear a suction noise for a couple seconds. When I fill the tank up it only fills about 3 gallons then the pump stops and some gas "burps" out of the fill hole. Then when I try to add more gas I have to pump really slow for it to fill and not stop the pump. Then I took it for a 10 min spin, shut off car, and opened the gas cap and heard a suction noise for like 4 seconds. Ive tried adding dry gas with no improvement. So any ideas whats wrong? I think it may be clogged or something.

Hello all

I have a BMW which suddenly started flashing its hazard lights while parked at night and I have to disconnect the battery to end it?

I reconnected the battery in the morning and the hazard lights had stopped although I need to press the switch several times before stops the lights?

I dont have any king of alarm fitted apart from the manufacturer's power cutoff system.

Now I am just wondering whether it is a switch, control unit, electrical problem???

Anyone can advise or suggest anything?

What causes my car to over heat? It overheats at idle. Fan does not automatically kick on. With the heater or AC on it does. Shop says not fan motor or switch. Gonna have to pay dealership prices without help. Out of nowhere, sitting still it got to 220 degrees. Problem ever since. Any help out there????

I was having problems with my battery keeping a charge and so I bought a new one. I had already been having problems with a belt making a squealing noise before this. And one day it broke. I had it replaced , but now it is squealing again and now the new battery is not keeping a charge. Anyone know what this might mean? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just replaced all 4 calipers on my 73 vette. I bled the system just like chevy says to. The pedal is not very solid and it travels most of the way to the floor when the car is off. Once I start the car the pedal pressure almost completely goes away and I can push it all the way to the floor. The brakes do grab in the last approximately 1/2 inch of travel, but I know something isn't right. There are no leaks, I've looked everywhere I can think of and even after a ton of pedal pushes, the master is still full. It seems like it's air in the lines, but if it's in there I sure can't get it to come out. Anyone got any ideas?

i have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 v8 5.2l the pulleys are on the front of the engine. i have helped and watched change these suckers before. which pulley is the give? the one that relaxes so you can get the belt on and what/how do i use on it to make it give? any help would be much appreciated. thanks guys

Ok people, I travel for my job and about 16 hours from home right now. I have another job 2 hours from here(2 hours closer towards home) right after this job. The problem is that the car started acting funny and would stop changing gears a lot. The speedometer would also go down to 0 while driving and the only way to fix it would be to stop the car, turn it off, and turn it back on. That would fix it some times, but most of the time it would still do the same thing. What do I do to fix this?

Want to gut the cat to my 4.8 silverado when I install my headers.Will they still pass emissions?My cat is stock and my mechanic said whenever he installs the headers, he can gut the cat and the engine breathes a lot more causing more hp and torque with the help of the headers,he also said they would pass but different people tell me different things.What are your opinions?Axelbeast

I had a small radiator leak,so, I was using water instead of antifreeze. It was 20 last night and now when I fill my radiator it pours out on the ground from under the engine somewhere.
