I haven't done anything to the car recently, it has only gotten slightly colder(about 30-40F). When I open my gas tank and take off the gas cap I hear a suction noise for a couple seconds. When I fill the tank up it only fills about 3 gallons then the pump stops and some gas "burps" out of the fill hole. Then when I try to add more gas I have to pump really slow for it to fill and not stop the pump. Then I took it for a 10 min spin, shut off car, and opened the gas cap and heard a suction noise for like 4 seconds. Ive tried adding dry gas with no improvement. So any ideas whats wrong? I think it may be clogged or something.

Suction noise--the vent hole in your gas cap is plugged. Clean or replace it.

Slow filling--either the fill tube is partially blocked, or the tank vent hose is kinked or blocked. Look under the car for anything collapsed or abnormal.

If that doesn't work, some cars just fill slow from poor design. Best of luck.

i would say the vent on your tank is clogged that will make it so you have to fill it slow and will also give you the suction noise when you open the cap to stop the suction you can get a vented cap for it but to stop the slow filling you will need to get the vent unclogged or just deal with it

You have a bad gas cap my friend or one of the vent lines are plugged running to the charcoal canister. Do the cap first. It sounds like your tank is not venting properly. This can be an expensive deal, unless someone can remove the vent lines to your tank with out removing the tank itself you may luck out. Your factory car dealer can diagnose this problem quickly.

There is a small vent pipe in the filler neck and if its plugged with ice or dirt, it will cause this problem. As for the suction noise, this is normal. As the "warm" gas condenses in your tank, it creates a partial vacuum.

Could be the vent on the cap but also check the breather on the tank, there will be a pipe coming off the tank venting to air. If this is blocked it will create this problem.
