Check the codes. You have an on board computer in your blazer. Depending on the year, there are different ways to read the codes. I suggest you go to the autoparts store and pick up a Haynes Manual. It will tell you how to pull the codes. Its pretty easy, but without knowing the year, I can't tell you how to do it.
Good luck.

I learned to pay attention to the light as I had to end up replacing two out of three oxygen sensors as well as the catalytic converter which wasn't cheap on a 2003 Chevy Blazer. It can come on for various reasons. Mine recently blinked and once I checked the oil it went off. Another time it was on and the code was to replace the thermostat. Take it to a reputable mechanic or autozone and have them do a diagnostic which can tell you exactly what code it is and what to do to repair it. It's best to get ahead of the problem before it costs you an arm and leg.

If its blinking, it might be giving you a code. YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, ENGINE SIZE, every time you have a question like this. Not enough info for any guess right now.

yr and engine size would be helpful.
Is it running bad or does the light just blink?

Take it to Pep Boys. They can do a diagnostic for $20.

if it is blinking most likely the engine is misfiring, i would go have someone scan it and see what faults you have then diagnose further from there.
