how do you get a lightbulb out of a cars headlight lamp fixture?

If you can't get your hand behind the light to get the bulb out you will have to take the whole lamp assembly loose or out to change the bulb, just unplug the wire connector from the bulb and twist it out and to put it in just reverse the process, just make sure you don't touch the bulb surface when putting the new one in as that will shorten the life of the bulb.

It depends on the car. Your owner's manual should be of help. Many cars lamps just twist out. Pop the hood and look behind the headlight.
