if its not thrown a rod in it yet its not too late to save it,,this only means it has a rod knocking,,this can be a rod bearing,,or a risk pin in the rod,,but as long as its running,,its not too late to save it,you can save any engine,,as long as its still running,,good luck hope this help.s/

Try a quart of Lucas engine treatment. I've seen it work miracles Do an oil change and substitute one quart with Lucas.
Also depends on where the knock is coming from. It could be a cracked fly wheel too and it's hitting something in your bell housing on your transmission.

possibly not//try something drain your oil buy5quarts castrol 20/50 syntec try starting it se if knocking goes away if it does wont be long before needs rebuild if it doesnt complete rebuild eminant anyway either way motor isnt going to last much longer whan you rebuild i reccomend castrol 20/50 have used in every car ive had had excellent luck all the way around good luck

most likely it is too late, but you can try changing the oil and put 20w50 oil in instead and see if it still knock. the thicker oil should take up more space between the bearings and the crank.

no it's not to late to fix it. worst case scenario is a rod insert which can still be fixed. most probable is a bent or knocking valve.

Don't condemn your motor until you diagnose the problem. Is it your motor ? or perhaps it's a differential / Trans problem. Take it to your local garage & get a professional opinion.

no its probably just your transmission needs to be adjusted make the gears shift at lower rpms
