Sounds like it would fail an MOT if you took it in. So it's probably unroadworthy in its current state.

burnt oil do you mean you
spilt oil over it started up
and when hot started smoking
if so it will stop tou did not finish
your question you cood have a
gasgit gone top engine driping
oil on to it??
